Alexander D. Smith (born May 7, 1984 in Seattle, Washington) is a top quarterback prospect in the 2005 NFL Draft. He attended the University of Utah and is expected to be a top ten pick. He finished 5th in the voting for the 2005 Heisman Trophy.
Smith is from La Mesa, California where he played football at Helix High School.
On March 16, 2005, Smith got a rare standing ovation for his exceptional workout in front of over 100 NFL scouts.
