Anthony Thomas (born November 7, 1977) is an American Football running back who played for the Chicago Bears of the NFL from 2001 through 2004; in the former year he was named The NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year by the Associated Press.
Nicknamed A-Train due to his power-oriented running style, Thomas became a free agent on March 2, 2005.
Before entering the professional ranks, Thomas played college football at Michigan from 1997-2000, where he set school records for rushing yards (4,472) and touchdowns (56). As a freshman in 1997, he contributed to the Wolverines' 12-0 national championship season.
