Antoine Walker


Antoine Walker, (born August 12,1976 in Chicago, Illinois), was a key factor in University of Kentucky Wildcats 1996 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship. As a freshman at the University of Kentucky he was named SEC Tournament MVP. His sophomore year Antoine was named All-SEC 1st, All-SEC Tournament and to the All-NCAA Regional Teams. After his sophomore season he declared for the NBA Draft and was picked #6 overall in the 1st round by the Boston Celtics.

Nine days before the 2003-2004 NBA season, Walker was traded to the Dallas Mavericks for Raef LaFrentz, Jiri Welsch and a first-round draft pick.

On August 8, 2003 Walker was traded with teammate Tony Delk to the Atlanta Hawks for players Jason Terry and Alan Henderson and a draft pick.

On February 24, 2005, Walker was traded back to the Celtics in a deal that sent Gary Payton, Tom Gugilotta , Michael Stewart, and a first round draft pick to the Atlanta Hawks.
