Az-Zahir Hakim

Az-Zahir Ali Hakim (born June 3, 1977 in Los Angeles, California) is a wide receiver for the Detroit Lions, an NFL franchise. Hakim attended San Diego State University for four years. Drafted 96th overall by the St. Louis Rams in the 1998 NFL Draft, Hakim spent four seasons in Saint Louis before being signed by the Lions as a free agent. While playing in Saint Louis, Hakim did not start, but still received playing time, appearing in two Super Bowls, winning one (1999 against the Tennessee Titans). After being signed by the Lions as a unrestricted free agent, Hakim started all but two games of the 2002 and 2003 seasons. In the 2004 season, Hakim did not get as much playing time due to injury, but still managed to score 3 recieving touchdowns.
