LaVar Arrington

LaVar Arrington (born June 20, 1973) is an American football player, currently with the Washington Redskins. He was drafted as the second choice overall in the 2000 NFL draft. He wears the number 56 and plays the linebacker position. LaVar has been to 3 straight Pro Bowls and was a huge star with Penn State in college.

Lavar's quick movement, powerful tackling and impressive field vision have given him the name "The Killa" among Redskin fans.

After having prolific seasons his first four years with the Redskins, Lavar signed an eight year, 68 million-dollar contract extension with his club, ensuring a steady anchor at the linebacker position. Unfortunately, he was only able to play in four games during the ill-fated 2004 season due to numerous injuries. However, his determination and unrivaled tenacity will no doubt bring Lavar back in the coming years.

Lavar has said to have in his possession an extensive hat collection.
