Mike McMahon (football)

Mike McMahon (born February 8, 1979) is the second-string quarterback for the Detroit Lions. He was drafted in 2001 and accounted for the most memorable moments of the year for the Lions, including a close loss to the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving. His reckless style benefitted the Lions in 2001, when they were one of the league's worst teams, but has since been considered a liability because recent additions of Joey Harrington, Roy Williams, Kevin Jones, and Charles Rogers . His contract is due to expire at the end of the year with Dallas and Green Bay being potential destinations via free agency.
