Saitama Stadium 2002

Saitama Stadium 2002 (Japanese: 埼玉スタジアム2002 Saitama Sutajiamu Ni-maru-maru-ni) is a stadium specialized to football, located in Midori-ku , Saitama, Saitama, Japan. It is often simply called "Saitama Stadium" or Saisuta. It accomodates about 63,000 spectators.

Currently a J. League soccer club Urawa Red Diamonds (Reds) uses this stadium as its home stadium as well as Urawa Komaba Stadium.

In 2005 J. League season Reds' Saitama Derby rival Omiya Ardija will host matches here along with Urawa Komaba Stadium due to expansion of its home Omiya Park Soccer Stadium .

It was built to host Football World Cup 2002 matches. Its construction was completed in September 2001. It hosted three Football World Cup 2002 matches.

Transport: Approx. a 15 ~ 20 min. walk from the Urawa-misono Station on the Sai-no-Kuni Stadium Line (Saitama Railway Line : Saitama Railway Co.). (Accessing Saitama Stadium by Train by Saitama Railway Co.)
