Sam Adams (football player)

Sam Adams (born June 13, 1973 in Houston, Texas) is an American football defensive tackle who currently plays for the Buffalo Bills. He was drafted out of Texas A&M by the Seattle Seahawks with the 8th pick in the first round of the 1994 NFL Draft.

He previously played with the Seahawks (1994-99), the Baltimore Ravens (2000-01, winning Super Bowl XXXV in 2000), the Oakland Raiders (2002, losing Super Bowl XXXVII) and the Buffalo Bills (2003-present).

Sam Adams Sr. is the father of Sam Adams, and as the son is now, was formerly a professional football player, playing at guard with the New England Patriots (1972-1980) and New Orleans Saints (1981).
